Tuesday, November 06, 2001

Mission Viejo, CA - In response to customer demand Holt Integrated Circuits has reintroduced into full production its HI-857x family of quad Op-Amps and Comparators. The HI-8573, HI-8574 and HI-8575 are drop-in replacements for the On Semiconductor / Motorola MC14573, MC14574 and MC14575 respectively. The three Motorola part types were discontinued in late 2000.

The three part types are available in either plastic DIP or SOIC package formats, and are built using low-power CMOS technology. The HI-8573 is a quad Operational Amplifier, the HI-8574 is a quad Comparator and the HI-8575 has two Op-Amps and two Comparators in the same package. A bias control feature allows users to program the optimum speed / power operating point for their particular application.

"Many customers have contacted us urgently looking for an alternate source for these established industry standards," says David Mead, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Holt, "We were able to quickly respond by reintroducing the competitively priced Holt equivalent parts."
